we tried really hard to like this just so-so experience. the old fashioned was quite good, but didn’t come neat as expected. the bison burger was ok. the onion rings were meh. the service was slow and inattentive, and we are big on service. and, quite expensive...almost $60 for a cocktail, a beer, and one split meal!

We wanted a good meal our last night visiting Deadwood. Chose Deadwood Social Club because their menu seemed legit. We arrived and it was very dead, offseason, I get it. We were sat near the kitchen. Kitchen was open to the dining room. Rap music in the kitchen was turned up loud enough that half the dining room was hearing it. They had way too many staff members so they were playing cards at a dining room table very loudly. You would have thought they were bar patrons. Food was disappointing. Vegetables were burnt. My wife’s beef Wellington base was completely burnt. She cut it off and placed it on top of the plate. Waitress looked right at it and didn’t say anything. Never asked if we needed anything or how the food was. I know it’s slow but I felt like they weren’t holding basic standards in food or service.

Questions & Answers

Parking is not near the building. There is a parking garage or public parking lots.

Its not the original saloon 10. There was a great fire years passed and with all the mudslides Deadwood has had since the 1800's it was honestly like buried under soil. The area with the saw dust is the exact replica of the saloon 10 that they got from the pictures collected. Everything was an addition. If you went there in the summer they put on a little llay that explains it all. I used to work there
